Metro Vancouver to Campbell River

Your BC road trip begins as you board the ferry to Vancouver Island via Nanaimo. Stop at the historic Coombs Old Country Market – famous for delicious donuts and goats that graze on the roof – before arriving in Campbell River for the night.

Campbell River to Port Hardy

Start your day by joining Homalco Wildlife & Cultural Tours on a 4-hour whale-watching excursion to lookout for humpbacks, orcas, porpoises, dolphins, sea lions, otters, bald eagles and other marine wildlife. In the afternoon, drive to Port Hardy for the evening.
