Explore the many wonders of Prince Rupert and get close to local wildlife on a guided grizzly bear tour or on a whale-watching excursion. Relax for a few days, before sailing back down the famed Inside Passage on your return journey to Vancouver Island or Metro Vancouver.
DAY 1
Metro Vancouver to Campbell River
Your journey starts with a relaxing sailing across the Strait of Georgia to Vancouver Island. When you arrive, begin your scenic journey to Campbell River – the salmon capital of the world.

DAY 2
Upgrade your package with a wildlife tour and spend your morning watching for humpbacks, porpoises, bears, elk, and other wildlife roaming the area. Travel north, and make stops at stunning seaside communities like Sayward, Telegraph Cove and Port McNeill. Finish your day discovering the small-town charm of Port Hardy.

DAY 3
Depart Port Hardy and embark on a 16-hour sailing through the iconic Inside Passage. Keep an eye out for wildlife along the rugged shoreline, as well as orcas and porpoises in the channel, and bald eagles circling overhead.

DAY 4
Travel to the famed Khutzeymateen Provincial Park and observe grizzly bears in their natural environment on a grizzly bear tour or take a whale-watching tour to view orcas, humpback whales, porpoises and seals. Choice of tour will depend on the season.

DAY 5
Spend the day exploring Prince Rupert at your own pace. You could visit the North Pacific Cannery, the Museum of Northern BC with intricate displays of Indigenous artifacts or take a guided tour and learn about the history of the region.

DAY 6
Board your return sailing and cruise south, winding through the magnificent glacial fjords of the Inside Passage.

DAY 7
Enjoy a scenic drive south, along the coastline until you arrive in Parksville. Go for a stroll along the boardwalk, paddle in gentle waters or chill out on the white sandy beaches.

DAY 8
Finish your trip with a leisurely drive south along the coastal route, winding through seaside towns and beautiful scenery. Board the ferry to sail back to Metro Vancouver.
