Due to required hull repairs on the Queen of Coquitlam, the following sailings between Langdale (Sunshine Coast) and Horseshoe Bay (Vancouver) on Monday, June 15 have been cancelled.
Cancelled Sailings:
- 12:15 pm departing Langdale
- 1:20 pm departing Horseshoe Bay
While every effort is being made to complete the repairs as quickly as possible, the Queen of Surrey will continue to provide service as scheduled. The following sailings noted in the revised schedule remain at risk of cancellation until repairs are completed.

Overnight Maintenance
Langdale Terminal - Berth 1
June 9 - 17, 2026
To support safe and reliable service, overnight maintenance work will take place on Berth 1 at Langdale terminal starting June 9, with completion expected by June 17.
To minimize impact on customers, work will take place outside of operational hours, between 10:30 pm and 5:00 am. This work is not expected to impact scheduled service.
Some equipment used may generate moderate noise levels in the immediate area. Every effort will be made to minimize disturbance to nearby residents.

Horseshoe Bay (Vancouver)
Infrastructure Program
Several projects related to the Horseshoe Bay Infrastructure Program are now underway. While no sailing cancellations associated with this work are planned, vehicle and foot passengers may notice changes to traffic and loading patterns. Please follow the direction of terminal personnel. Vehicle passengers, we also ask that you check your ticket for your assigned lane number, as all staging lanes have changed.
Terminal Construction – November 2025 to May 2026
In this phase of the Horseshoe Bay Infrastructure Program, the following is planned:
- Installing a temporary control tower - Complete
- Removing a pedestrian footbridge - Complete
- Removing the existing control tower - Complete
- Decommissioning the elevated deck structure - underway
- Pile driving (End of March to mid-May) (daytime only)
Periodic night work can be expected from January to May 2026. Please see the BC Ferries projects page for additional information, mitigations and dates of night work.
Waiting Room A staircases upgrade – February to end of April, 2026
During construction, access for Bowen Island and Langdale bound foot passengers to Waiting Room A from ground level will be via the elevator only.
Please follow signage and directions from terminal staff.
Long-term Parking Reduced
Parking availability in the surface lot adjacent to the Horseshoe Bay terminal building has been reduced due to construction.
Additional parking is available at:
- BC Ferries parkade south of the terminal (entrance on the left after entering the village)
- Lion’s Mark parking lot, located across the street
If you are picking up passengers, please note the drop-off/pick-up area has a maximum wait time of three minutes.
We will provide updates through Service Notices should there be any impact to operations.
