Victoria to Swartz Bay
July 29 and August 7, 2024
Patricia Bay Highway (Hwy 17) between Victoria and Swartz Bay on Vancouver Island will be temporarily closed from Tanner Road to Island View Road due to the Keating Cross Road Overpass Project during the noted times on the following dates:

Customers looking to travel to or from Swartz Bay terminal during closure times will be impacted and should plan their travel accordingly. A detour will be in effect via Central Saanich Road. Customers should be prepared for a 15-20 minute delay as a result.

DAY 1
Your journey starts with a scenic sailing through the Active Pass to Swartz Bay terminal. From there, head south towards Victoria. After you check in to your downtown hotel, set out to discover the city’s rustic charm, including Canada’s oldest Chinatown, Parliament Buildings, or afternoon tea.

DAY 2
Go for a stroll in blooming Beacon Hill Park or venture a little farther to walk along Ogden Point Breakwater. Visit the award-winning Royal BC Museum before a short drive up the Island to Ladysmith. On your way there, stop by Chemainus for a self-guided tour of 40+ world-famous murals. After you've checked into your hotel check out the local cuisine and craft beer scene.

DAY 3
