Weekend Traffic - Terminal Congestion - Vancouver (Horseshoe Bay)
Update as of July 16, 2021:
Please be advised that Horseshoe Bay terminal is experiencing extremely heavy traffic on weekends throughout the summer. BC Ferries recommends booking in advance. Customers intending to travel to Departure Bay without reservations are encouraged to consider travelling via Tsawwassen to Swartz Bay instead.
Customers with reservations on sailings departing Horseshoe Bay should have their reservation number ready, advise a flagger of their reservation when able, and follow the direction of the staff directing traffic for the safety of all customers and crew. We're asking customers travelling with a reservation to show up 30 to 120 minutes prior to their sailing to help avoid terminal congestion. Passengers with a reservation but looking to travel standby on an earlier sailing are advised that space may not be available at these times, and are encouraged to travel on their reserved sailing instead.
Passengers without a reservation may be turned away at the terminal to avoid terminal congestion.
Those dropping off or picking up foot passengers should access the terminal via Marine Drive.
We appreciate your patience and apologize for any inconvenience experienced as a result of this traffic congestion.
