Service notice - Revised Schedule - Reduced Service - October 3 - 4, 2023

Issued on: September 16, 2023
Reduced Schedule
Departure Bay (Nanaimo) – Horseshoe Bay (Vancouver)
October 3 - 4, 2023
As part of our ongoing commitment to ensure the safe operation of our terminal facilities, BC Ferries will temporarily be closing the Langdale (Sunshine Coast) primary berth on October 3 and 4 for lower ramp and dock work. As a result, the Queen of Oak Bay will temporarily be moved from its Departure Bay (Nanaimo) – Horseshoe Bay (Vancouver) duties to join the Queen of Surrey and provide service for our Horseshoe Bay – Langdale customers.
While the Queen of Oak Bay is redeployed, the Queen of Coquitlam will provide service on the Horseshoe Bay – Departure Bay route. This vessel repositioning will unfortunately require the cancellation of the following Horseshoe Bay – Departure Bay sailings.
Cancelled Sailings on October 3-4, 2023:
6:25 am departing Horseshoe Bay
10:40 pm departing Departure Bay
All other sailings on this route are expected to sail as scheduled. Sailings are approximately one hour and 40 minutes and will operate as follows on October 3 and 4 only:
