Service notice - Otter Bay Terminal - Floating Lead Replacement - June 7-14, 2023

As part of our ongoing commitment to ensure the safe operation of our terminal facilities, BC Ferries will be carrying out marine work activities to replace two of the four floating leads at the Otter Bay Terminal (Pender Island). Due to high winds experienced on June 5, the project has been delayed by two days and is now scheduled to start Wednesday, June 7, through Wednesday, June 14, 2023.
A marine rig will be mobilized on site, and this work will include the use of equipment that may increase the normal sound levels within the terminal. Construction activities will be carried out between the hours of 7:00 am – 5:00 pm, and all efforts will be made to minimize the noise for our neighbors.
There will be no impact to operations as this work will be completed between our regularly scheduled sailings.
