Sewage Treatment Plant Replacement
January 9 to May 24, 2023
Please be advised that BC Ferries will be carrying out construction activities to replace the sewage treatment facilities at the Fulford Harbour Terminal. This work will begin on January 9 and will continue during weekdays until May 24, 2023.
During the construction period, the terminal washroom facilities will be closed. Portable washrooms will be available at the terminal for the use by our customers.
There will be a slight reduction to terminal vehicle holding capacity to facilitate the construction activities. Traffic control will be arranged to assist with managing overflow traffic on the roadway as required.
The required work will include the use of equipment that may increase the normal sound levels within the terminal. The work will only be completed during daylight hours and all efforts will be made to minimize the noise for our neighbors.
Drivers and customers are asked to follow the direction of staff, signage, and traffic control employees and are encouraged to arrive at the terminal earlier than usual for their intended sailing when travelling as a foot passenger.
