Service notice - Terminal Project Work - Crofton - May 2026 to Summer 2027

As part of our ongoing commitment to maintain safe and reliable terminal facilities, construction work at Crofton terminal continues.

To support critical construction activities and key project milestones, the last round-trip sailing between Crofton and Vesuvius Bay will be cancelled Sunday through Thursday from October 18th, 2026 until December 10th, 2026.

Cancelling the final sailing each evening will give crews more time to complete important construction work while reducing impacts to customers travelling during the day. During this period, a passenger-only water taxi service will be available to maintain travel between the communities.

This project includes construction of a new lay-by berth, as well as repairs and upgrades to the existing berth and trestle structures. These improvements will support the introduction of a two-ship service anticipated in 2027, enhancing safety, reliability, and service capacity on the route.

While much of the project's preliminary work has taken place during daytime hours, upcoming phases will require overnight construction activities. Customers and nearby residents may notice increased activity and periodic noise as work progresses. Every effort will be made to minimize disruption and complete the work safely and efficiently.

Additional adjustments to terminal operations or sailing schedules may be required as construction continues. We will communicate any impacts as early as possible and thank customers and the community for their patience while these important improvements are underway.
