Experience whale watching at sea level aboard Keta or Cascadia, two 30‑foot open air vessels designed for an up close and engaging adventure on the Salish Sea. Led by a knowledgeable marine naturalist, this tour travels through the Salish Sea with time dedicated to whale viewing and live interpretation of local wildlife and marine ecosystems. The experience concludes with an overview of marine conservation efforts and the research supported through your sightings.
WHALE GUARANTEE
Vancouver Island Whale Watch has a 95% success rate for whale sightings. In the rare event that no whales are seen on your tour, guests receive a complimentary return ticket.
Vancouver Island Whale Watch Tours are available to experience between April and October.
Activity policies
For privacy reasons, guest contact information is not shared with the tour provider. Guests are responsible for confirming their tour directly with the operator by phone at 250‑667‑5177 anytime after 8:00 am on the morning of their scheduled departure to confirm that the tour is operating as scheduled.

Vancouver Island Whale Watch reserves the right to cancel or postpone any trip due to inclement weather, insufficient passenger numbers, or events beyond our control.
Tour is not recommended for those with back problems and is unsuitable for pregnant women. Guests must be 5+ to participate.
Guests are advised to dress warmly in layers and closed-toed shoes. Even in the summer, temperatures are significantly cooler on the water. Guests are provided with anti-exposure suits that offer protection from wind and sea spray.
