Sailing Cancellations - Queen of Alberni - Nanaimo (Departure Bay) to Vancouver (Horseshoe Bay) - June 30 - July 1

Following an earlier engineering update, an additional issue was discovered with the Queen of Alberni’s piston assembly, which will require critical machining to repair. In order to complete these and the earlier repairs to its main engine cylinder head and liner, the Queen of Alberni will remain out of service from Thursday, June 30 to Friday, July 1. Our engineering team continues to work diligently to resolve the issue.

Though the repairs to the Queen of Alberni are significant, with a number of tests and trials remaining to ensure it is ready to sail, we anticipate it will resume service for its 7:40 am sailing from Departure Bay on Saturday, July 2, 2022.
If you do not have a booking on this route for June 30 or July 1, we recommend making alternative travel plans as a foot passenger, and booking in advance is strongly recommended.
Our Customer Service Centre will contact customers with bookings on the cancelled sailings to let them know if we have space available to accommodate them on the next available sailing or if their booking must be cancelled.
