Sailing Cancellations - Adverse Weather - November 9, 2021

Please be advised that there is an extreme weather system forecast for Tuesday, November 9 which has resulted in the following sailing cancellations:
Vancouver (Tsawwassen) - Nanaimo (Duke Point)
5:15 am departing Tsawwassen
7:45 am departing Duke Point
The Queen of New Westminster will resume service with the 10:15 am sailing departing Tsawwassen.
Comox (Little River) - Powell River (Westview)
6:15 departing Little River
8:05 departing Westview
Service will resume with the 9:55 am sailing departing Comox (Little River).
Powell River (Westview) - Texada (Blubber Bay)
6:00 departing Blubber Bay
6:50 departing Powell River
Service resumed with the 7:50 am sailing departing Blubber Bay.
Cortes Island (Whaletown) - Quadra Island (Heriot Bay)
7:50 departing Cortes Island
9:05 departing Heriot Bay
Service will resume with the 9:50 am sailing departing Cortes Island.
Campbell River - Quadra Island (Quathiaski Cove)
6:15 am departing Quadra Island
6:40 am departing Campbell River
7:05 am departing Quadra Island
7:30 am departing Campbell River
Service resumed with the 8:00 am sailing departing Quadra Island.
Reserved customers will be advised of the cancellation and their reservation will automatically be fully refunded.
The safety of our passengers and crew is of primary importance to us. We don’t take the decision to cancel sailings lightly, as we know customers rely on us to get to their destinations. We will resume service as soon as it is safe to do so.

An intense Pacific front will arrive along the BC coast Monday afternoon. The front will spread strong southeast winds of 70 km/h gusting to 90 Monday evening. The winds will shift to southwesterly and ease Tuesday morning in the wake of the front.
