Lay-by Berth and Trestle Life Extension Project
Crofton (Vancouver Island)
May 2026 to Summer 2027
As part of our ongoing commitment to maintain safe and reliable terminal facilities, work will begin at the Crofton terminal in May 2026.
This project work includes the construction of a new lay-by berth, as well as repairs and upgrades to the existing berth and trestle structures. These improvements will support the introduction of two-ship service anticipated in 2027, enhancing safety, reliability, and overall service capacity on the route.
Construction activities will primarily occur during daytime hours between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
Customers and nearby residents may notice increased activity and increased noise levels expected to begin on May 26. Equipment used during construction will generate moderate noise with pile installation planned from end of May to mid-July. Every effort will be made to minimize disturbance.
Periodic adjustments to terminal operations or sailing schedules may be required to support construction activities. Every effort will be made to communicate any impacts well in advance.

Thank you to our customers and neighbours for your patience and understanding as we complete this important terminal project.
