North Vancouver to Horseshoe Bay Terminal
February 4 - 5, 2026

Highway 1 will be closed in both directions from the Main Street westbound on-ramp to the Lonsdale eastbound on-ramp to accommodate installation of a bridge structure for a new pedestrian and cycling overpass. The closure will take place between 10:00 pm on Wednesday, February 4, and 5:00 am on Thursday, February 5.

Customers looking to travel to or from Horseshoe Bay terminal using Highway 1 during this time will be impacted and should plan accordingly. A detour will be in effect; however, travellers should be prepared for delays as a result. Stay updated with Drive BC.

Work is weather-dependent and may be rescheduled should conditions on February 4 be unfavourable. More information on the Casano-Loutet Overpass Project, including a map of the detour route around the closed highway section, can be found on the City of North Vancouver’s project webpage here.
