Is Your JavaScript/Active Scripting disabled?

Several areas of this website may use JavaScript and require that JavaScript be enabled on your browser.

This is quite common and can be used to enhance your experience. This also may be functionally necessary to use some tools.

How do you enable your JavaScript?

Each browser is slightly different and you may need to refer to the help menu of your browser application, but here are some quick instructions for some of the main web browsers:

Microsoft Internet Explorer | Mozilla FireFox | Safari | Opera | Google Chrome


Microsoft Internet Explorer

  1. Click on Tools in the menu bar
  2. Click Internet Options in the resulting drop-down menu
  3. Click the Security tab
  4. Click the Custom level... button
  5. From here
    • scroll down in the settings window until you get to the Scripting section
    • and ensure the Enable option is chosen for Active Scripting.
  6. Click OK, then OK again and/or Apply and you are done!

Mozilla FireFox

  1. Click on Tools in the menu bar
  2. Click Options... in the resulting drop-down menu
  3. Click the Content tab
  4. Ensure the Enable JavaScript checkbox is checked
  5. Click OK and/or Apply and you are done!

Safari

  1. Click on Safari in the menu bar
  2. Click Preferences in the resulting drop-down menu
  3. Click the Security tab/icon
  4. Ensure the Enable JavaScript checkbox is checked
  5. Click Close and you are done!

Google Chrome

  1. Click on the wrench icon to Customize and control Google Chrome
  2. Click Options in the resulting drop-down menu
  3. Click the Under the Hood tab
  4. Click the Content settings... button 
  5. Click the JavaScript tab
  6. From here you can either
    • Ensure the Allow all sites to run JavaScript option is selected or
    • Do not allow any sites to run JavaScript and add "bcferries.com" as an exception using the Exceptions... button
  7. Click Close, then Close again and you are done!

Opera

  1. Click on Tools in the menu bar OR the Red Opera icon on the top left and choose Settings then
  2. Click Preferences... in the resulting drop-down menu
  3. Click the Advanced tab
  4. Click Content in the left-hand navigation
  5. Ensure the Enable JavaScript checkbox is checked
  6. Click OK and you are done!
