BC FERRIES REACHES AGREEMENT FOR NEW HEAD OFFICE
VICTORIA – BC Ferries has reached an agreement with Jawl Investment Corporation regarding the sale of its existing head office building at 1112 Fort Street and the relocation of its corporate headquarters to a new office development in downtown Victoria. The relocation is scheduled for July of 2010.

BC FERRIES RELEASES FIRST QUARTER RESULTS
VICTORIA – British Columbia Ferry Services Inc. (BC Ferries) announced its first quarter results today. Net earnings were $8.4 million for the three months ended June 30, 2008 compared to $14.4 million during the first quarter in the previous year.

BC FERRIES ADDS THREE MORE ELECTRIC CARS TO VEHICLE FLEET
VICTORIA – BC Ferries has announced that the company has added three new GEM (Global Electric Motor) cars for use by staff at its major terminals. The addition of the three cars means that with five electric cars in total, BC Ferries now operates one of the largest licensed fleets of zero emission, low speed vehicles in British Columbia.

BC FERRIES ADDS EVEN MORE SAILINGS THIS SUMMER STARTING WITH THE B.C. DAY LONG WEEKEND
VICTORIA – Starting with this B.C. Day long weekend, BC Ferries will provide even more sailings on its two busiest routes for the duration of the summer. With the full summer schedule in effect, BC Ferries will provide more than 500 sailings each day across 25 routes covering the entire coast of British Columbia.

FUEL SURCHARGE TO BE EFFECTIVE AUGUST 1, 2008
VICTORIA – The BC Ferry Commissioner announced Wednesday that he has approved the implementation of a fuel surcharge on fares charged by BC Ferries. The surcharge will help offset the company’s continued rising cost of fuel.

POPULAR NEW BC FERRIES EXPERIENCE CARD REPLACES PAPER-BASED SYSTEM
VICTORIA – On July 31, 2008, BC Ferries will discontinue the sale of prepaid paper tickets as a payment method for use on the majority of its minor routes. With the successful introduction and resulting popularity of the BC Ferries Experience Card, prepaid paper tickets are no longer required.

VICTORIA – BC Ferries is offering a late night sailing from Tsawwassen to Swartz Bay on Friday, July 4, at 11:30 p.m. to enable BC Lions football fans from Vancouver Island to return home after the game on the same day.

BC FERRIES RELEASES RESULTS OF 2007 CUSTOMER SATISFACTION SURVEY
VICTORIA – BC Ferries released the results of its 2007 Customer Satisfaction Survey today, and overall, 88 per cent of customers report being either satisfied or very satisfied with their BC Ferries’ experience.
