DAY 1

Metro Vancouver to Courtenay 

Your adventure begins on a panoramic BC Ferries sailing to Nanaimo on Vancouver Island, before you disembark and take a scenic coastal drive north. Stop at Parksville, Coombs or Miracle Beach Provincial Park as you make your way to Courtenay. Try craft beers and west-coast cuisine at a local pub or restaurant.

DAY 2

Courtenay to Port Hardy

Continue north to Port Hardy and discover small towns and snug harbours like Sayward, Telegraph Cove and Port McNeill along the way. If you’re lucky, you may spot orcas swimming in nearby waters. After you check in, walk down to the water to watch bald eagles circling overhead, or pop into the Sporty Bar & Grill for a bite to eat.

DAY 3

Inside Passage Cruise to Prince Rupert

Relax on a breathtaking 16-hour Inside Passage cruise from Port Hardy to Prince Rupert. Enjoy the amenities onboard, and relax as the ferry winds its way through glacial fjords and past rugged coastal rainforests. Look out for otters, seals, eagles and other wildlife living in the lush landscape.

DAY 4

Prince Rupert: Wildlife tour

Join Prince Rupert Adventure Tours on a grizzly bear tour (mid-May to late Jul) or whale-watching tour (late Jul to late Sep), depending on the season. Travel to Khutzeymateen Provincial Park and observe magnificent grizzly bears in their natural environment, or sail offshore and view orcas and other marine animals.

DAY 5

Prince Rupert to Smithers

Grab brunch in Prince Rupert before taking a scenic drive alongside the mighty Skeena River, parallel to Highway 16, on your way to the small town of Smithers.

DAY 6

Smithers to Quesnel

Start your day with a hearty breakfast and then set out on a scenic drive through BC's Interior to Quesnel. Stop to look at glaciers, waterfalls and mountains along the way.

DAY 7

Quesnel to Kamloops

Spend the morning in Quesnel, making a stop at the historic Fraser River Foot Bridge, before continuing on to Kamloops. After you check in to the hotel, go for a hike or bike along the local trails, play golf or visit local wineries.

DAY 8

Kamloops to Kelowna

Drive through idyllic mountain scenery on the way to the vibrant city of Kelowna. Take a dip in Okanagan Lake, rent a paddleboard or kayak, and enjoy a sunset walk along the shore.

DAY 9

Kelowna Winery Tour

Home to countless award-winning wineries, Kelowna is the ideal place to experience the best BC has to offer. Head out on a self-guided tour and indulge in an array of wine tastings accompanied by delectable cheese pairings.

DAY 10

Kelowna to Osoyoos

Enjoy the drive from Kelowna to Osoyoos at your leisure. Stop in Penticton and float down the 7 km river channel between Okanagan Lake and Skaha Lake, or take a short detour to visit the Dominion Radio Astrophysical Observatory. Soak in the lakeside views from the hotel patio with a bottle of award-winning local wine.

DAY 11

Osoyoos to Vancouver

On the way home, stop at Manning Provincial Park to stretch your legs. Rent a kayak or canoe at the lake, hike on the trails, or look out for the famous ground squirrels, before returning to the lush coastal greenery of Vancouver.
