BC Ferries Connector

Note: The Metro Vancouver Skytrain and bus system is operated by TransLink while Vancouver Island and the Sunshine Coast buses are operated by BC Transit. Fares for each transit provider must be purchased separately.

From Downtown Vancouver or Vancouver Airport (YVR)

Take the Skytrain with service on the Canada Line and get off at Bridgeport station. If you’re departing from the airport, the Skytrain station is attached to the airport, just follow the “Train to city” signs.

After you arrive at Bridgeport station, head down the main stairs to the bus area and look for the 620 bus (operated by Translink).

Take the 620 bus to Tsawwassen ferry terminal. After you get off the bus, enter the foot passenger entrance and purchase your ferry ticket from a self-serve kiosk or at the ticketing counter.

Public transportation at Swartz Bay terminal

From Swartz Bay to downtown Victoria

After you arrive in Victoria and disembark the ferry, exit the terminal and you will see a bus station on your right as you enter the parking lot. You can catch either the 70 or 72 buses from here, and all of them have direct service to Downtown Victoria.

When you travel between Metro Vancouver and Victoria via public transportation, you end up travelling with two different transportation agencies: Translink in Vancouver and BC Transit in Victoria. This means you need to purchase your tickets separately in each city.

Coach service


BC Ferries Connector

From Downtown Vancouver or Vancouver Airport (YVR)

Enjoy direct coach service between downtown Vancouver or Vancouver Airport and downtown Victoria. BC Ferries Connector tickets can be purchased in advance online or over the phone or on board select sailings between Vancouver (Tsawwassen) and Victoria (Swartz Bay), allowing you to board the coach on the ferry.

Important information:
Payment can be made via debit or credit cards. When boarding a BC Ferries Connector coach on the ferry, ensure that any baggage checked at the terminal has a BC Ferries Connector bus tag on it.

From Downtown Vancouver

For direct service to Horseshoe Bay ferry terminal take the 257 bus (operated by Translink) from the West Georgia St @ Seymour St stop. After you get off the bus, enter the foot passenger entrance and purchase your ferry ticket from a self-serve kiosk or at the ticketing counter.

From Vancouver Airport (YVR)

Take the Skytrain with service on the Canada Line and get off at Vancouver City Centre station in Downtown Vancouver. When you exit the Skytrain station on West Georgia St, you can catch the 257 bus with direct service to Horseshoe Bay ferry terminal across the street between Granville St and Seymour St.

There are other buses that depart from West Georgia St @ Granville with service to Horseshoe Bay ferry terminal that may require switching buses along the way. Use Google Maps to find the bus that works best for your schedule.

Public transportation at Departure Bay terminal

From Departure Bay to Downtown Nanaimo

After you arrive at Departure Bay terminal in Nanaimo, exit the terminal and you will see a bus station on your left on the other side of the street just before entering the parking lot. You can catch the 20 bus from here with direct service to Downtown Nanaimo.

Public transportation at Langdale terminal

From Langdale to Gibsons

After you arrive at Langdale terminal, exit down the foot passenger ramp and you will see a bus station across the street on your right just before entering the parking lot. You can catch the 90 bus from here with direct service to Gibsons.

From Downtown Victoria

For direct service to Swartz Bay ferry terminal, take either the 70 or 72 bus (operated by BC Transit) from the bus stop at Douglas St & Pandora Ave. After you get off the bus, enter the foot passenger entrance and purchase your ferry ticket from a self-serve kiosk or at the ticketing counter.

Public transportation at Tsawwassen terminal

After you arrive at Tsawwassen terminal, exit through the foot passenger exit and you will see a bus stop right outside. You can catch the 620 bus from here with service to Bridgeport station. When you arrive at Bridgeport station, walk to the top of the stairs or take the elevator to the Skytrain platform.

From Tsawwassen to Downtown Vancouver

Get on the Skytrain with service towards Waterfront. There are three Skytrain stations in Downtown Vancouver you can get off at, but Vancouver City Centre is the most central.

From Tsawwassen to Vancouver Airport (YVR)

Get on the Skytrain with service towards YVR-Airport. When you arrive at the YVR-Airport station, get off the Skytrain and proceed into the airport.
