Notice of Night Work
Swartz Bay (Victoria)
November 27 – December 23, 2024
When we began upgrading Swartz Bay Terminal Berth 5 in June, we committed to keeping you informed of any changes to our work schedule.
The project has made significant progress over the past few months and efforts have been made to minimize evening and night work. However, to ensure we complete the project on time, and reduce the impact to our neighbours, overnight work will be required.
Night work is currently planned from November 27 to December 23, which will involve crane and welding equipment operating within Berth 5. Noise levels around the terminal may be higher than normal, and our teams will work to minimize impacts to our neighbours.
The work will occur intermittently from 6:00 pm to 2:00 am. The District of North Saanich has approved these hours through bylaw exemptions.
