Notice of Project Work
Thetis Island Terminal
September to November 2024

As part of our ongoing commitment to ensure the safe operation of our terminal facilities, we will be carrying out construction work at the Preedy Harbour terminal to maintain safe and reliable operation of the berth. Construction will begin Monday, September 16, with the first phase anticipated to be completed mid-October and the project concluded by the end of November 2024.

Starting September 16 to October 20, work will take place between sailings starting at 7:00 am to 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday. No impacts to sailing times are expected. We will work closely with the contractor to minimize noise levels for our neighbours.

Beginning October 21 – early November, to ensure the timely completion of the project and to minimize impacts to service, night work will be required and is expected to take place between 10:00 pm and 5:30 am. In addition, the final regularly scheduled sailing to Thetis Island will be cancelled on select days.

Cancelled Sailings October 21 - November 1, 2024

Fridays: 10:50 pm departing Chemainus

Service to Penelakut on the above sailings and weekend schedules will remain unchanged.

Drivers and customers are asked to follow the direction of staff and signage, and are encouraged to arrive at the terminal early for their desired sailing.

We thank our customers and neighbours for their patience and understanding as we complete this necessary work.
