Sailing Cancellations
Horseshoe Bay (Vancouver) – Departure Bay (Nanaimo)
September 5 – October 9, 2023
In order to meet the contractually required number of sailings on our Duke Point (Nanaimo) to Tsawwassen (Vancouver) route, the Queen of Alberni is needed to provide service in place of the Coastal Renaissance. As a result, the Queen of Alberni will be unavailable to relocate to the Departure Bay – Horseshoe Bay – Langdale route to provide fall service as previously planned. To facilitate this repositioning, we must unfortunately cancel the following supplemental Departure Bay – Horseshoe Bay sailings from September 10 to October 9:

Scheduling changes are specifically designed to impact the fewest customers on the smallest number of routes possible. All impacted customers with a reservation on one of the cancelled sailings above will be contacted by our Customer Care team and accommodated on another same day sailing. We will refund fees and/or fares for those unable to travel on an alternate sailing. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience experienced as a result of these cancellations.
The scheduled refit for the Queen of Coquitlam has been delayed until September 10 so that it can provide service on the Departure Bay – Horseshoe Bay – Langdale routes as scheduled September 5-8.
Sailings on our Horseshoe Bay – Departure Bay route are busy, with limited drive up space. Customers travelling without a confirmed booking are encouraged to consider travelling as a foot passenger.
