Service notice - Closed Vehicle Deck

In March, a commercial vehicle struck the Queen of Coquitlam’s main car deck safety gate, requiring the vessel to close the stern and bow doors during sailings.
Out of an abundance of caution, passengers will continue to be required to vacate the closed vehicle deck on all vessels during sailings between Horseshoe Bay and Langdale, while BC Ferries concludes its review of the incident.
Your safety is of upmost importance to us, and closed vehicle decks are spaces that represent an inherent risk to the travelling public. We appreciate your understanding due to this change and apologize for any inconvenience caused.
