SMOKE FREE ENVIRONMENT COMING SOON
VICTORIA – BC Ferries is pleased to advise customers that the company will be introducing a smoke-free environment in all BC Ferries locations, including terminals and vessels starting January 22, 2018. This also includes the interior of all vehicles on BC Ferries property.

NORTHERN SEA WOLF TRANSITS THE PANAMA CANAL
VICTORIA – BC Ferries’ Northern Sea Wolf, the vessel acquired for the new route from Port Hardy – Bella Coola, and named through a community engagement process, transited the Panama Canal today, bringing it one step closer to its arrival in B.C. waters later this month. The vessel departed from Athens, Greece, on Nov. 3 for the 10,097 nautical mile journey to B.C.

BC FERRIES RELEASES SECOND QUARTER RESULTS
VICTORIA – British Columbia Ferry Services Inc. (BC Ferries) saw the highest passenger traffic levels in the second quarter that the company has experienced in over 20 years. Vehicle traffic levels were the highest BC Ferries has ever experienced in both the second quarter and year-to-date. During this quarter, passenger and vehicle traffic increased 5.2 per cent compared to the same quarter in the previous year, resulting in higher revenue and contributing favourably to net earnings.

BC FERRIES ANNOUNCES HOLIDAY SAVINGS
VICTORIA – BC Ferries announced today that early morning and late evening savings are back for the upcoming holiday travel period. This pricing gives customers the opportunity to save significantly on more than 260 select sailings on routes between Metro Vancouver – Vancouver Island and Metro Vancouver – Sunshine Coast over the upcoming holiday season.

BC FERRIES CALLS PILOT PROJECT SUCCESSFUL ON GABRIOLA ROUTE
After analysing results of a two-year pilot that saw sailings added to the Saturday and Sunday sailing schedules during the peak summer season, BC Ferries has declared a success, and the sailings will continue in future schedules for Gabriola Island.
