Saltery Bay Terminal Wi-Fi Pilot

Image of Saltery Bay terminal

We know how important it is that you stay connected and have the latest sailing and schedule information when you are travelling with us. Wi-Fi access is currently available at a number of terminals (Tsawwassen, Swartz Bay, Horseshoe Bay, Langdale, Departure Bay and Duke Point). At other select terminals, Wi-Fi connectivity challenges exist, due to their geographic locations.

To address this challenge and the feedback we’ve received from the Ferry Advisory Committees and the community, we are running a pilot project at Saltery Bay that provides free Wi-Fi access in the waiting room and holding lanes at the terminal:

  • Wi-Fi is now available in the passenger waiting room and vehicle holding lanes at Saltery Bay Terminal
  • To access BC Ferries Wi-Fi:
    • Click on the wireless icon on your device
    • Connect to “BC Ferries” network
    • Launch your web browser, and agree to the Terms and Conditions
  • Click here for more information and Q&As on BC Ferries Wi-Fi at select terminals

Next steps for the pilot

Testing is underway to ensure that the Wi-Fi service meets the needs of customers travelling through the terminal. It’s important that the connectivity works well and improves your experience travelling with us. Once the pilot is complete, we will review other terminals where connectivity options exist or become available to us.

We want to keep you up to date on the project, so check back here for more information as the pilot continues.
