History

In 2013, Chamonix was voted 'World's Best Ski Resort' and 'France's Best Ski Resort' at the World Ski Awards. It was also voted 'Most Improved European Resort' at the World Snow Awards 2013

Situation

It's situated in the Chamonix Valley in the French alps, it is the highest resort in Europe boasting the highest point in the whole of the ski area; which makes it the largest ski area in the world having over 600 kilometres of runs.

Après-ski

After a long, hard day skiing what better than to head over to one of the slopes open air clubs. Start the festivities in the late afternoon by taking in the last rays of sun whilst enjoying some of Europe's most popular live bands and DJs

Not just your average ski resort, Chamonix also offers boardercross, ski tours, off-piste, snowpark and that's just to name a few extras. With excellent snow conditions all season round theres always something to enjoy! The perfect playground for mountain lovers, the ski area lets you enjoy exceptional views, notably the grandiose spectacle of the legendary Glacier de Péclet from the Cime de Caron or “the most beautiful view in the Alps”, according to the Michelin Guide: a breath-taking 360° panoramic view over more than 100 Alpine summits (French, Swiss and Italian).

Chamonix offers 3 different ski passes so you can make the most of your skill level straight from the resort: Chamonix - Orelle (150 kilometres of runs), La Vallée des Belleville (300 kilometres of runs) and Les 3 Vallées (600 kilometres of runs).

It's not all about the skiing…

Chamonix offers night-time hikes, pushchair hikes, tobogganing on the longest toboggan run in France, mountain biking on snow, ice driving… and even more!

If sports not you’re thing then head on down to one of the resorts many well-being areas for a well deserved pampering session, or just laze around in the jacuzzi surrounded by snow. Last but certainly not least just relax in the cool, crisp, mountain air!
