Coast to Rockies Rail and Sail Circle

Itinerary
 
Day1.  From Vancouver VIA Rail

Board VIA Rail in the late afternoon at Pacific Central Station for your journey to Jasper. Leaving Vancouver you travel east through the Fraser Valley and up through the Fraser Canyon past Hell's Gate. Enjoy dinner and accommodations on board tonight.

Day2.  Continue on Rail to Jasper
After breakfast, relax and enjoy the sights as you travel between the Monashee and Caribou mountain ranges before ending your train journey in the resort town of Jasper in the late morning. After checking in to your hotel, take time to stroll the townsite and explore the many shopping opportunities. Overnight Jasper.

Day3.  Around the Jasper Area

After breakfast, take the three-hour motor coach sightseeing tour that will encompasses outstanding scenery such as Pyramid Lake and Maligne Canyon and the tram ride up to the summit of Whistler's mountain for a breathtaking 360 degree view of the entire Jasper area. In the afternoon, take a cruise on beautiful Maligne Lake, high in the mountains.

Day4.  Jasper to Prince George

Board VIA Rail's "Skeena Service" this morning, travelling westward you'll pass through the Robson Valley as you re-enter British Columbia. You may glimpse the peak of Mount Robson, highest in the Rocky Mountain range, towering 3,954 meters (12,969 feet) above the valley floor. Watch for wildlife -bears, elk and moose, along the way as your journey continues to Prince George.

Day5.  Prince George to Prince Rupert
Reboard your VIA Rail train and head west once more, passing alongside the Nechako River and through various small towns and cities, towards the seaport of Prince Rupert.

Day6.  Prince Rupert to Port Hardy

This morning you'll board BC Ferries' Queen of Prince Rupert for an all-daylight cruise down the spectacular Inside Passage to Port Hardy. A world-class travel experience, you'll travel through calm inlets, evergreen-covered islands and majestic coastal mountains on this remarkable voyage.
Overnight: Port Hardy

Day7.  Port Hardy to Victoria

Take a deluxe highway coach southwards on Vancouver Island passing through immense forests and picturesque beachside communities before arriving in the Provincial Capital of Victoria.

Day8.  Around Victoria
Spend the day exploring this beautiful city, enjoying its British ambience and spectacular attractions such as Butchart Gardens, the Empress Hotel and the Royal BC Museum.
Overnight: Victoria 
Day9.  Return to Vancouver

Board an intercity coach in Victoria that will take you aboard a BC Ferry for a voyage through the beautiful Gulf Islands before your tour ends in downtown Vancouver.
