Just across Georgia Strait from Powell River, Texada Island is the largest of the Gulf Islands. With a unique ecosystem and wildlife found nowhere else in BC, Texada offers endless exploring and sightseeing possibilities. Diving, biking, golfing, camping, beachcombing, and kayaking opportunities abound. Public transportation is limited, but peaceful rural roads can be enjoyed by both motorized and non motorized transportation. Small shops, galleries and restaurants dot the island offering an assortment of experiences to please both the eye and the palette.
