Quathiaski Cove Terminal Construction Begins

On Monday, February 4, construction on the new terminal begins at Quathiaski Cove and is expected to be complete by the summer of 2008.

The west coast designed passenger facility, built with cedar trusses and columns, will feature the following amenities:

· A covered canopy out front
· A heated waiting room
· New accessible washroom facilities complete with baby change tables
· An outdoor patio seating area.

During this time, lane five will be closed off to allow for the relocation of the coffee vendor, construction equipment and temporary washroom facilities. Running water will not be available during the construction.

Please be aware of possible traffic changes accessing the terminal for both foot passengers and vehicles. BC Ferries apologizes for any inconveniences incurred during this construction process.
