ALTs give you priority travel when presented to the Ticket Agent at least 20 minutes before the scheduled departure time.
For ferry service between Tsawwassen and Swartz Bay, Duke Point and Tsawwassen or Horseshoe Bay and Departure Bay.
The cost of ten ALTs is $1,304.00*
Ten (10) ALTs must be purchased at the time of sale. It is not possible to purchase individual ALTs.
One ALT covers one personal vehicle (up to 2.03m or 6’8” in height) plus driver fare.
Present your BC Ferries Experience™ Card or Coast Card for processing at any ticket booth, regardless of the destination displayed.
At heavy traffic times, show your card to the highway traffic controller indicating you’ll be using an ALT. Note that if the card is used to gain priority access to the ticket booth and there are no ALTs on the card, customers will be directed to return to the regular queue.

Assured Loading Tickets are non-refundable.
ALT travel is exempt from any regular discounts such as senior, student or disabled fares.
Only one ALT can be redeemed per sailing.
No trailers or other towing.
ALTs expire on the last day of the 24th month from the date of purchase, at which point they will not be recognized at point of sale.
BC Ferries reserves the right to limit the number of ALT spaces per sailing.
It is the responsibility of the customer to decide when to use Assured Loading Tickets.
