BC Ferries and Sport BC, along with its fundraising arm, KidSport, have partnered to help both children and adults in coastal communities participate in organized sport.
Sport BC, a not-for-profit society, provides leadership and direction to foster the growth and development of amateur sport in British Columbia. Members include more than 80 amateur sport organizations that collectively represent approximately 800,000 British Columbians as participants, coaches, officials, administrators and volunteers.
Funds raised through KidSport help to remove financial obstacles that prevent some children from participating in sports. More than 10,000 children in British Columbia, between the ages of 6 and 18, have received funding from KidSport.
