Coastal Celebration, BC Ferries' third and final new Coastal Class vessel, completed its transatlantic voyage from Germany to British Columbia on Wednesday, June 18, 2008.
On May 12, Coastal Celebration made a special promotional stop in London, England to invite Londoners to the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games and to promote tourism in British Columbia.
Coastal Celebration’s voyage also included stops for refuelling in Las Palmas, Canary Islands and Cristobal, Panama. The vessel went through the Panama Canal on June 1, and then sailed up the west coast of North America to British Columbia.
