Priority Loading Pilot for Hornby Island

As of September 19th, customers of Hornby Island will have the opportunity to receive select Priority Loading.

Baynes Sound ConnectorThe first 15 vehicles to arrive at Shingle Spit for the 7:30 am sailing to Gravelly Bay will receive a priority loading pass for the 8:00 am sailing only departing Denman West terminal, Monday to Friday on the Baynes Sound Connector.

VEHICLES ARRIVING AT SHINGLE SPIT

BC Ferries crew members will provide the first 15 vehicles with a priority loading pass.

DENMAN WEST

Upon arrival and transition from the Denman East to Denman West terminal, the 15 vehicles with priority loading passes are to hold on the hill at the traffic light, with their hazards lights on.

Crew members will direct you to load onto to the Baynes Sound Connector.

Drivers are required to hand their priority loading pass to a crew member.

ALL OTHER TRAFFIC

GREEN light traffic: If there is room within the terminal holding lanes, please move into these lanes, in order, until the holding lanes are full.

RED light traffic: Traffic is to hold on the hill behind the priority loading vehicles from Hornby Island.
