My main goal is to understand if the food services on the ferries are a source of revenue or operated at a loss in order to provide a food service to customers during their sailing. I would like to see the balance sheets that include food cost, wage cost, wage burden, equipment cost, equipment repair cost, supplies cost, uniform cost, training cost and a break down of revenue. I would also like to see any costs related to the food services such as table clearing, cleaning and garbage removal etc. Are there any hidden cost to receive the food/equipment on the vessels? 10-101 In February of 2007, BC Ferries and the Town of Sidney announced that a lease had been signed for operation of the ferry terminal in Sidney. A news release issued by BC Ferries at the time said the lease would promote use of the terminal by operators other than Washington State Ferries. I am requesting records of any efforts, plans or actions taken to attract other operators. Such records would include, but not be limited to, any analysis, request for proposals or internal discussion of the issue and the options for other operators at the terminal. My request also would encompass, but not be limited to, any emails, minutes of meetings or records of phone conversations connected with use of the terminal by operators other than Washington State Ferries. The terminal is the western end of a Washington State Ferries route connecting Vancouver Island with Anacortes, WA. When news of the lease was announced publicly, Washington State Ferries expressed public concern about management of the terminal by BCFS.
